Editorial Policy

Updated March 10, 2026

Shane here. My network of sites contains more than 30 years of creative works. It is nearly impossible to condense it all into a single menu, which is why we use a keyword system. To truly enjoy all we have to offer, feel free to explore. Curiosity and imagination are rewarded here, and they always will be.

I’ve been publishing on the web longer than Google, MSN, Craigslist or Wikipedia. There are no ads, pop-ups, tracking scripts or annoyances on my web sites. Here you can explore in peace. Even on your phone. We value our guests.

My sites are all two-way communications platforms. You will find my email form in this site’s menu, which you can use to reach me any time. I also encourage you to comment on posts you receive in my newsletters. Tell us what you think! We’re all allowed to speak freely here.

Big Tech platforms have done everything they can to interfere with my email newsletter, my store and anything I post on platforms other than my own. They want control of me, my properties and my audience for two reasons: 1) they can’t do what I do and 2) they want their cut. They don’t want people like me to have an audience, especially one I’m not renting from them.

As of March 9, 2026, we have a new policy on our network.

It is my responsibility to make sure I can communicate with you reliably and directly. The only perfectly reliable way to maintain communications is for you to bookmark and visit this site regularly or for you to subscribe to my RSS feed. Currently those are the only two channels that can’t be tampered with by Big Tech. Yet.

We’re also facing email providers inserting “AI summaries” into my newsletters which may or may not be accurate and may include links that were modified without authorization. For that reason we are heavily modifying our newsletters from now on.

We can no longer send colorful emails. We can’t post creative material on social media. We can’t publish our books on other web sites. When we do that we get delisted, shadowbanned, demonetized and silenced. At the moment the only platforms we can count on are third-party merchandise sellers, and it remains to be seen if they will continue to cooperate with us and our readers.

As a newsletter subscriber in the future you will receive brief text-only emails with a keyword and instructions on how to use it. This will allow you to follow my work without clicking on links that are made unsafe by other sites.

All that said if you do discover email from me in a spam folder or otherwise hidden, marking that email as “not spam” is always helpful. Whitelisting domains like ladystar.net and lochlann.black also helps a great deal. I can’t guarantee Big Tech will listen to you, but I can guarantee that I will.

On my sites I make the creative decisions. So it is now here you will find my books, audiobooks, merchandise, art, animation, games and all the other fun surprises you used to find on our social media sites. We’re through decorating other people’s web sites for free and then having our work deleted.

I encourage you to subscribe to my RSS feed and check both this site and my video site for the latest news. Also bookmark Jumpline so you can easily make use of your keywords.

Jumpline Help

Our network has its own search function. We send new keywords through our newsletters to notify our subscribers about new releases. We also activate durable keywords like “help” and “subscribe” so guests can easily find the information they are looking for. Jumpline is the gatehouse of our castle complex. It is an easy-to-use door to everything we have to offer across all ten of our destination sites. Search isn’t fully functional yet, but as new keywords are added it will get more and more capable.

Jumpline also keeps bots out of our network. This is important work that helps us better serve our legitimate readers.

Starting February 1, 2026, the Committee to Ban Shane Lochlann Black is the primary canonical and official source for any material published by me, my studio or my store. Authorized links to my work can be found here, in my books or connected to approved QR codes. Links found on social media sites or in email should be considered unsafe.

To maintain security and safety always make sure you are connecting to my sites through a web browser where you can see my site addresses and you can verify you have a secure connection.
