Introducing An All-New Action Faction Adventure!
Welcome to an all-new science fiction project where we expanding on the incredibly popular crowdfunding model for The Infamous 24!
In traditional crowdfunding, I put up a campaign page, readers contribute, I deliver the book as the reward. The Action Faction model is different.
In this campaign, instead of contributing to the book, you get to sponsor interesting things in the story directly. When you do, you get a “legacy” and a callsign as your nickname. We connect your callsign to your legacy as credits in all editions of the book you sponsor. You could sponsor a spaceship, an interesting character, a location where something vital takes place, or even a device the characters need to complete their mission.
It’s crowdfunding, but your contributions affect the story while it is being written.
Why Do You Need Crowdfunding?
I’m publishing most of these stories for free as audiobook chapters and Action Faction posts while I’m writing them. Your contributions make it possible for me to devote more time to writing new chapters and publishing them faster. The more sponsors we have, and the more books we sell as a result, the more new stories you get.
At full speed I can write more than 5000 words a day, and I often do. That’s more than three hours of new audiobook or videobook content a week, if I can devote sufficient time to writing each day.
The Silver Eagles are Back
I’ve brought together characters from all of my story universes to join forces in surprising and unexpected ways! Their mission: Defeat the runaway menace of the Disjunction Interference Wave. There will be new technologies, new creatures, strange and inexplicable alien planets to explore and all the action you’ve come to expect!
These stories are primarily Exploration and Discovery Science Fiction.
The Silver Eagles are getting a big expansion. The Starships Universe characters will make frequent appearances, and the LadyStar Expedition and the Ironjammers will join in as well. There’s going to be some competition among these teams and others to see who can get the job done best, and all the characters will work together to make sure every mission is accomplished!
Action Faction
You Lead the Quest is just like the Action Faction, meaning readers can not only financially contribute for new chapters. But in the new model readers can also sponsor objects, settings, vessels, landmarks, resources and log markers. Each sponsorship creates a “legacy” that is credited directly in the story. For example, if I’m writing a space battle between an Alliance cruiser and a Sarn destroyer. A sponsor might contribute to add an escort ship to the Alliance side. That escort ship becomes a legacy and appears in the story so it is reader-visible. It is also significant, meaning it affects the narrative. That escort ship is also credited to the sponsor in each edition of the book.
Callsigns
Every sponsor gets a callsign. Your callsign will be assigned to your Bitbook account, and all your legacies will be credited with it in each edition of any book where your legacy appears.
Jessica’s Commlink – A Series-Level Legacy
In the new story Of Golden Wings and Silver Eagles, Jessica Halloran will soon discover a commlink that can be integrated with her AERC device. You can sponsor her commlink and have it be your legacy in the story. This particular device will be featured in multiple books in the series, so as the sponsor you will get credit in multiple books as well.

Once Jessica’s commlink is unlocked, she will have a chance to activate its translation functions. This will give the LadyStar Expedition a chance to understand clues and information written in other languages, including scrambled or secured communications. This device will show up in multiple books in the series.

Log Marker Legacies
There are three Log Markers available in the first book: The Silver Eagles Commsat under the Grand Mariner Restaurant. The Autoscribe Lab at the Mystery and History Bookstore, and the Tularian Gate, where Jessica and Talitha will join forces with other members of their team! Log markers are just like energy resources, meaning they can be sponsored more than once. Your credit will appear in all editions of the book where your legacy appears.
